The Tennessee Valley LEGO Club helped celebrate the opening of the Nature Connects LEGO exhibit at the Huntsville Botanical Garden on April 25 and 26, 2015, providing both a town & train display and volunteer support throughout the weekend. Club members collaborated on a large display with LEGO trains and town and brought MOCs to exhibit in the garden's Murray Hall facility. During the two day event, many club members also volunteered to help visitors appreciate the impressive LEGO sculptures created by artist Sean Kenney. Members had the opportunity to meet Kenney and discuss LEGO building with him during a reception on Friday evening, and Kenney also dropped by the club display on Saturday morning. Surprisingly beautiful weather kept the garden busy all weekend, with an especially good crowd on Sunday. While the club display was only up for the weekend, the Nature Connects exhibit will remain at the Huntsville Botanical Garden through July 26, and TNVLC will be on hand for other upcoming events related to the exhibit. Be sure to check the club calendar for other TNVLC activities at the garden!
